2010 Grafton Music Festival Schedule

 

Friday, July 2

Our friends at the Grafton Public Library are hosting: “Take Me to the Water” Concert
with Bill Shontz & Jay Cook - children's performers. FREE. Great for all ages.
3-4 p.m. Grafton Public Library, Main Street

Evening outdoor concert featuring Simba, a southern Vermont-based group who plays funk, world music. A great dance band.
6:30 p.m., outdoors, behind The Old Tavern at Grafton, free*

Please note, there is food and drink available at The Old Tavern (flatbread pizzas and the inn's new pub menu) and at Mack's Place Eatery. Because this is a closed off venue, outside beverages are not allowed. Thank you for your cooperation.

 

Saturday, July 3

FREE Live music in Grafton Village & other fun stuff

11 a.m. - 4 p.m. Local artisans & Kids Carnival

Several local artisans will be in Grafton Village (Townshend Road, across from The Old Tavern and in the Old Tavern parking lot) to conduct demonstrations, sell their products, etc.

The Grafton PTA will host their special kids carnival in the Grafton ball field (behind/adjacent to The Old Tavern). Fun for all ages. And at 1 pm, they will host their annual duck race (start at Grafton Cheese covered bridge on Townshend Road).

2 - 4 p.m. Outdoor Concert featuring Red Molly, an Americana/Roots female trio, free

Because the concert is a closed off venue, outside beverages are not allowed. Thank you for your cooperation.

Grafton Village Cheese has opened a new Specialty Cheese & Wine Shoppe in Grafton Village. They will be hosting a grand opening celebration where you can win free cheese and more great prizes! The store is a perfect place to build a picnic basket for the VSO concert!

If you are coming for the afternoon event and not the VSO, parking is available in the village at the Windham Foundation offices (225 Townshend Road); Grace Lot (across from the Nature Museum), Grafton Church parking lot (Main Street).


Vermont Symphony Orchestra Concert & Fireworks Extravaganza at Grafton Ponds

4 p.m. Gates Open

7:30 p.m. Concert, followed by Fireworks

The 20th annual event is underwritten by the Windham Foundation and benefits the Brattleboro Museum & Arts Center. Foard Panel underwrites the fireworks. This is a wonderful event for all ages. Bring your own F&B, or enjoy some of the local vendors on-site. Please, no pets.  Full ticket info can be found here. Gates open at 4 p.m.

Special Music Service

10 a.m. Enjoy a special church music service at the White Church in Grafton Village (Main Street) featuring the Stockwell Brothers. All are welcome!
